If there are not any submissions in a particular category, there will not be any voting, nor will any prize money be awarded.

  • Patios & Over Concrete Installs
  • Roof Decks & Balconies
  • Small DekTek Tile Spaces (Projects under 200 sq. ft.)

Contractors, 1 Winner from each category will be awarded $100

Homeowners, 1 Winner from each category will be awarded $100

Who May Enter:

Any DekTek Tile owner or contractor who installed/built a DekTek Tile project.

How to Enter:

Submit the best photos of your DekTek Tile project. There are 3 ways you can enter to win and submit your photos. Choose whichever option is most convenient for you:


1. Visit dektektile.com/photo-contest to upload photos and fill out the contact form.

 

2. Email the photos to marketing@dektektile.com and include “Photo Contest” in the subject line to identify your contest submission. Be sure to provide your full name & address, phone number, project details/type of project, and of course don't forget to attach the photos! All photo entries must contain the above information for consideration. We encourage multiple photos for the best chance for you to win. *Please note, our team will email you a confirmation. If you do not receive a confirmation, we did NOT receive your submission.* 

 

3. Lastly, you can text photos to 612-770-5725. Be sure to indicate PHOTO CONTEST and then provide your full name & address, phone number, project details/type of project, and of course don't forget to text the photos! All photo entries must contain the above information for consideration. We encourage multiple photos for the best chance for you to win. *Please note, our team will text you back a confirmation. If you do not receive a confirmation within 24 hours please call our office as we did NOT receive your submission.* 

4. Upload your photos or video through the DekTek Tile DropBox Link.
Be sure to provide your full name & address, phone number, project details/type of project!

Photo Tips:
Increase your odds to win:

  • Submit clear, crisp photos, shot in the highest resolution possible. Try to avoid low-resolution blurry photos.
  • Remove clutter before shooting your photos. Often times less is more.
  • Make sure the tiles are clean. Spray off with a power washer, or hose with a nozzle and let the tiles fully dry before snapping photos.
  • Include some furnishings or staging for best results.
  • It is best that the photos include beautiful shots showcasing the tiles, so it is not recommended to cover up the DekTek Tiles with rugs or other coverings.
  • Lighting can make a huge difference in great photos. Try to avoid taking photos when the sun is casting shadows on the deck. We recommend taking photos in both the sunlight and also shade to see which turns out best. Dusk and dawn are usually peak times to take the best shots.

Judging

The first step in judging will be conducted by a panel of DekTek Tile employees who will reserve the right to select the top 5% of entries for the final voting round. This will be done in a completely subjective manner. A minimum of 10 entries will qualify for the final voting round. This voting round will be finalized by early 2024. No bribes of any kind will be allowed or accepted. The judging panel's decision is final.


The final voting round: The top 5% of entries will then be open to the public for voting through DekTek Tile’s social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn, as well as the DekTek Tile website. The voting period for the homeowner contest will be open 7 days. The contractor contest will be held shortly after, exact dates to be determined.

Winners

2 winners will be awarded the Grand prizes: Best Homeowner Project and Best Contractor Project. Please note, the same person and/or photo cannot win both contests. Both winners’ photos will be featured in the next national catalog!

There will be 2 winners for each separate outdoor living category (1 winner for the Homeowner Photo Contest & 1 winner for the Contractor Photo Contest).

The prize winners for each contest and category will be notified by e-mail or phone call within 7 days after tallying the votes. Winners are responsible for paying any taxes they may owe on a prize. Prizes are non-transferable. In the event of non-compliance with these requirements, the prize will be forfeited and the entry with the next highest score will be declared the winner. DekTek Tile reserves the right to disqualify entrants and/or cancel or suspend the Contest should unauthorized intervention or other causes corrupt the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper operation of the Contest. 

 

Homeowner Photo Contest Winners: Please allow 2 weeks after Contest has ended for prizes to be delivered. Winners will be posted on the appropriate DekTek Tile website and social medias within 30 days of the end of the contest and non-winning photos may also be posted.

Contractor Photo Contest Winners: The Grand Prize $500 Credit will be available immediately for the winning Overall Best Contractor Project to use towards their next order. This credit cannot be applied to previous orders and cannot be used in conjunction with other promotions. All other category winners, please allow 2 weeks after Contest has ended for prizes to be delivered. Please allow 2 weeks after Contest has ended for cash prizes to be delivered.

Rights to Photograph

An entrant must hold all rights to a photograph. Submission of an entry grants DekTek Tile and its affiliated companies the unrestricted right to modify, edit, adapt, alter, publish and/or use the submitted photograph in any way, at any time and in any and all media in connection with the advertising or promotion of DekTek Tiles products or services, without consideration or payment to the entrant or to any other third party. 


At its discretion, DekTek Tile also reserves the right to include the name of the winners/entrants, as well as the city and state in which the photo was taken in any and all such above described advertising and promotional activities. The entrant represents that any person depicted in the photograph (or, if a minor, the minor's parent or guardian) consents to DekTek Tiles’ use of the photograph in accordance with these Official Rules. The entrant is solely responsible for obtaining necessary authorizations (e.g. model release forms, etc.) from all persons, the parents or legal guardians of minors, and the owners of all private property and trademarks appearing in the photograph to take the photograph and to grant DekTek Tile the rights herein granted. Entrant further represents that the photo does not infringe or violate any third-party rights. 

Release of Liability

All entrants release DekTek Tile and each of DekTek Tile's affiliates, subsidiaries, officers, directors, agents and employees and all others associated with the development and execution of this Contest, from any and all liability with respect to, or in any way arising from, this Contest, and/or use of the prizes, including liability for personal injury. DekTek Tile is not responsible for printing, production, or typographical errors or omissions, or other similar errors or omissions.

By sending your submission and entering the Contest, you certify that you have read all of the Official Contest Rules and accept and agree to be bound by these rules and the decisions of DekTek Tile, which shall be final, binding, and conclusive on all matters. All entries and photographs become the exclusive property of DekTek Tile and will not be returned or acknowledged

The DekTek Tile Photo Contest is subject to the following terms, which may be updated by us from time to time without notice to you.

By sending your submission and entering the Contest, you certify that you have read all of the Official Contest Rules and accept and agree to be bound by these rules and the decisions of DekTek Tile, which shall be final, binding, and conclusive on all matters. All entries and photographs become the exclusive property of DekTek Tile and will not be returned or acknowledged. 

DekTek Tile will not be responsible for lost, delayed, damaged, misdirected or illegible submissions or any computer, telephone, cable, network, electronic or Internet hardware or software malfunctions, failures or unavailability. The contest is void where prohibited, taxed or otherwise restricted by law.
